In Psalm 90, we are reminded to the brevity of life, and knowing that even our best days our filled with troubles. Yet, we can rejoice in God’s unfailing love.
The wisdom to live out our days well requires this understanding and faith – We are deeply loved, cared for, wanted, and uniquely created.
How then shall we invest the precious days we have? May we not be contributors to the pollution around us, but as aids to its clean up. Not taking part in the systems of greed, but generosity. Not hating, but loving – not being cruel, but kind. Not digesting our fears, worries, and anxieties but building upon our faith, hope and courage.
It’s an upstream way of living for sure – but then again, we are never alone in such endeavors of the heart.
